| The High Society New Orleans Jazz Band Starts Birdland Theater Residency Next Month The High Society New Orleans Jazz Band joins the Birdland Theater roster, every Thursday at 5:30pm beginning March 7, 2024. The ensemble has graced prestigious concert stages across Europe and the United States. Notably, band members have left their indelible mark on the world of cinema, contributing their musical prowess to several iconic Woody Allen films, such as "Wild Man Blues, " "Sweet and Lowdown, " "Midnight in Paris, " "Blue Jasmine, " "Cafe Society, " "Magic In The Moonlight, " and "A Rainy Day In New York." Their seamless fusion of music and cinema adds a distinctive touch to their illustrious journey. Their driving sound is a testament to the ongoing relevance of New Orleans Jazz and they have an international fan base to prove it. Loved by critics and jazz aficionados alike, they have attracted Jazz icons like Chick Corea, Marian McPartland, Diana Krall and many others who sat in with the band during its twenty year residency at the Cafe Carlyle.
