"Think The Meters and Orgone had a baby and moved to Dublin."

Chief Keegan are a musically skilled, multitalented instrumental funk band from Dublin, Ireland.

Some of their musical influences include bands such as Vulfpeck, The Meters, Lettuce and Galactic amongst a mixture of other genres throughout numerous decades. Bluesy and with a deep funky groove, their music is filled with energetic, unique and incredible sounds that will transport you into a world of funkadelic musical fusion and leave you wanting more.

Since their formation, Chief Keegan have been working hard on the gigging scene nationwide in Ireland and have been successfully performing to crowds and fans for many years with their groovy vibes, gaining a good following. Since the beginning of their journey, they have had a plethora of notable gigs on their roster including some popular annual festivals in Ireland. For example: Electric Picnic, Knockanstockan Festival, Bray Jazz Festival, The Cork Jazz Festival as well as having had a successful sold-out EP launch in Whelans, Dublin.

Composed of musicians deeply embedded in the Irish music scene, band members have collaborated with an abundance of amazing Irish artists such as James Vincent McMorrow, Zaska, Loah, Sive, CC Brez, The RTE Concert Orchestra and Sharon Shannon, to name a few.

In July last year, the Funkwrench Blues Spotify playlist added a song featuring Chief Keegan called "Organ Grinder" which is gathering huge reactions and listener streams.
