This special 2023 collaboration features NEA Jazz Master vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater, renowned bandleader and trumpeter Sean Jones, and an all-star lineup of musicians and alums from Carnegie Hall's NYO Jazz national youth ensemble. Together they perform a wide-ranging program of songs composed and made famous by Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Mongo Santamarķa, John Beasley (a Carnegie Hall premiere!), Wycliffe Gordon, and an NYO Jazz favorite: John Clayton 's "I Be Serious 'Bout Dem Blues, " to name just a few.
