DYLAN JAMES SHAW PREMIERES “BYE BYE GIRL” VIDEO

Dylan James Shawʼs new video, "Bye Bye Girl, " premieres next week. The video was filmed on location in the live music capital of North Dallas called Deep Ellum. The music video features a guest vocal harmony appearance from Christine Winburn, a national recording artist and mother to Dylan James. The JellyBread band in the video is also Dylan Jamesʼ uncle and nephew.

"Bye Bye Girl" is a pop jazz song written by Dylan James Shaw and Christine Winburn. "The ʻBye Bye Girlʼ could be anyone you get mesmerized by and she takes all your fears away. She could be your friend or someone who loves you or even a stranger you see in the distance. Sheʼs the one who is care free and gives you the invitation to live your magical life, " says Dylan James.

Dylan James Shaw is a 16 year old jazz & blues pianist/vocalist/Hammond B3 organist from Dallas, TX. He has been featured on FOX & CBS television, national radio and broadcasts all over the world. His mentors include Dr. JB Dyas (Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz), Chuck Leavell (The Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers), Dave Limina (Berklee Piano Chairperson), Eric "Scorch" Scortia (Omar & The Howlers), Wanda King (daughter of Freddie King), Bob Margolin (Muddy Waters band), David Fishof (Ringo Starr Tour Producer) and the Jazz Foundation of America in NYC.

Dylan James Shaw began his musical journey at the age of 3 years old, with his teachers being Jan Winburn ("Blues Piano Grandma") and Christine Winburn (Mother), a professional vocalist from NYC that taught him harmony and song writing. Dylan James won "Blues Kid of The Year" by Columbia College Chicago and the National Music Composition Award from the US Dept of Education in Washington, DC. He won several scholarships from the Pinetop Perkins Foundation and the Blues Foundation Memphis. Dylan James was chosen as the youngest participant in Notes For Notes 14 week Republic Records NYC mentorship. Recently, Dylan James was awarded two full scholarships to the prestigious Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Jazz Ensemble and one scholarship to Rock ʼn Roll Fantasy Camp NYC. He has also been honored with performance invites to JEN (Jazz Education Network) conferences.

Dylan James Shaw is a high functioning, special needs musician with a special heartwarming and true story about how music heals and can create brilliance in this next generation! He is inspiring other musicians through teaching piano and performing with the UNT Denton Voices of Praise gospel choir and band. People of all walks of life have reached out to Dylan James Shaw because of his inspiring journey and success in music. He is living proof that music heals and he wants to "make music that stands for accepting all kinds of different people and bring joy to this world."

Dylan James Shaw's plans are to release an EP in 2024 and continue to write, record and release music. He also plans on continuing summer music studies at UCLA and Berklee College of Music and learning from his music mentors, namely Herbie Hancock (Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz), who he spent an entire day with in Oct 2023. One day he plans on performing at Madison Square Garden, like his mother did…..a dream of both musicians. Dylan James is also pursuing a record contract and worldwide tour.
