Amazon #1 Best Selling guitarist Bryan Lubeck to release new acoustic winter solstice & holiday album

Byan Lubeck is set to release the much-anticipated follow-up to his enduring holiday album We Three Strings. His new offering, Welcome Winter, is an acoustic assemblage of holiday classics and the original title track that camber the spirit of the season to Lubeck's Spanish guitar stylings.

An Elmhurst Jazz Festival award-winner known for his fusion of romantic Spanish guitar and urban grooves, Lubeck has been a staple of contemporary instrumental radio across genres including Jazz, Latin, and Adult Contemporary for more than a decade. Welcome Winter's 8-song collection delivers on that foundation with a fresh, subtle interpretation of the season.

The album layers Lubeck's distinctive romantic sound with an acoustic ensemble of violins, cellos, dulcimer, melodica, percussion, vibraphones, and unique acoustic instruments. The result, while remaining true to the traditional compositions, is a decidedly fresh and contemporary perspective on classics such as "God Rest Ye Gentlemen, " "The Christmas Song, " "What Child is This, " and "Deck the Halls."

"My hope is that we have created a new "old friend" that listeners can enjoy each winter by the warmth of the fire or as a backdrop for holiday gatherings, " states Lubeck. "I envisioned this collection of songs to be an auditory journey to a place where only the crisp sound of snow underfoot can be heard. Then, off in the distance, the faint sound of the destination: a holiday party with music that begins to fill the night air - a moment in time to savor the welcoming melodies and laughter aloft in the chill of the night air before arriving at the festivities."

Joining Lubeck is GRAMMY-nominated saxophonist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Nick Bisesi. Bisesi, who was one of Ramsey Lewis' Urban Knights and has played with Ray Charles, among others, lends his talent on flute to the tracks "Deck the Halls" and "Carol of the Bells."

The cover photography for the album is by southwest Michigan-based photographer Richard Hellyer. His photo of a lone oak tree standing amid a snow-covered vineyard, pictured on the back of the album, inspired the title track and the overall mood of the entire album.

"When Richard posted a snowy picture of this location a while back, I felt an instant connection. The image inspired live strings, a dulcimer, flutes, percussion, and some wonderful surprise instrumentation combined with my Spanish guitar throughout the album, " states Lubeck.

When released, Welcome Winter will be available everywhere music is played, sold, and streamed through digital, CD, and vinyl formats.
