| Dimitrios Vassilakis Ballads & Blues at Nublu Jazz Festival Internationally acclaimed Greek saxophonist, composer and academic researcher Dimitrios Vassilakis presents for Nublu Jazz Festival New York, a selection of blues and ballads from his award-winning Candid records discography, including new material and tunes from his latest remastered release "Labyrinth – Daedalus Project" on Candid Records. Tunes he has recorded and played live with world class international jazz musicians like: Jeff "Tain" Watts, Essiet Essiet, Sylvia Cuenca, Ralph Peterson, Marc Johnson, Benito Gonzales, Theo Hill, Dave Kikoski, Abdullah Ibrahim, Espen Berg. An ongoing project to showcase the energy and impact of the blues and the emotional power of the ballads.
