| Joe Lovano, Adam Nussbaum, Jerry Vivino, Eliot Zigmund join this year's HVJF August 9-13 is the 14th season for The Hudson Valley Jazz Festival. In addition to the broad range of high level talent in the region the festival welcomes, Joe Lovano, Eliot Zigmund, Adam Nussbaum, and Jerry Vivino. The series is held in multiple locations with a range of styles and environments. Clubs, parks, libraries, performing arts centers, galleries, cafes and restaurants. 2023 features women in jazz with concerts led by Judi Silvano, Nancy Tierney, Nancy Donnelly and Vanessa Racci with appearances by Gabriele Tranchina and Teri Roiger. Camille Thurman performs with The Darrell Green Quartet. This ensemble is receiving world recognition with appearances in Europe and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Vibraphist Bill Ware who has worked with Steely Dan and Arturo O Farrill teams up with saxophonist Eric Person ( Wallace Roney, Dave Holland, Houston Person), Robert Kopec, bassist and drummer Taru Alexander for the Wed. Aug 9 Opening show at The Cove in Greenwood Lake. The Analog Jazz Orchestra will be at the Falcon in Marlboro, a tribute to Bill Evans will see a great line up of players at UpFront Gallery in Port Jervis. Trumpeter Rick Savage brings pianist Joe Vincent Tranchina, bassist Earl Sauls together with Eliot Zigmund in Warwick.
