Trombonist/Educator Dr. Emmett Goods Debut As Leader release "Another Level"!

Dr. Emmett C. Goods is a trombonist and Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Rhode Island. He has been performing for over 25 years.

As a performer Emmett has shared the stage with a wide variety of artists crossing over multiple genres. In the jazz arena he has shared the stage with Dr. Billy Taylor, Eddie Harris, Louie Bellson, Avery Sharpe, Wycliffe Gordon, Roger Humphries among others. He is also a member of the Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra and co-leads his band the Latin Jazz Project with Damian Curtis and Nelson Bello.

Another Level is Emmett's debut as a leader. The recording features nine tracks and is produced by his brother Richie Goods. This album of all original material features seven written by Emmett with key contributions by Richie Goods who composed the song "Goods Brothers" and Haneef Nelson who composed the song "Blues for the Enslaved". The album gives a musical portrait of Emmett through pieces about the people and places he loves.
