| Lynx — Human Speech Instrumental math-rock band Lynx is premiering "Human Speech" today. The single is the opening track of their EP of the same name which will be released on May 5, 2023, bundled together with the reissue of their first and only album. Written over 20 years ago and kept secret for all those years, "Human Speech" was finally recorded in the summer of 2021 by Seth Manchester at Machine with Magnets in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The track immediately picks up on the dialogue between the band and their audience: It gradually transforms from its initial impact into a distinct compositional structure that can only belong to Lynx. The single, opening track of their EP of the same name, will be released on all digital platforms on April 7. The EP will be released physically on May 5, 2023, bundled together with the reissue of their first and only album, a visionary record, precursor to the math music of the new millennium. The collection will be released by New York label Computer Students in their Expanded Reissues series. It includes a massive double-sided poster and is housed in a sleek, tactile, aluminum packaging.
