| New ♫ "FUEGO" Love song by Irene Torres [Peruvian-Canadian, Spanish, jazz ]M✓A✓P✓L✓ One of Canada's rising Global music artists.Peruvian-born singer and visual artist Irene Torres has been active in Toronto's live music scene for about a decade. As a front-woman for many groups, she has appeared with the Flamenco fusion ensemble, Santerias, the Afro Cuban band Battle of Santiago, the Tiki Collective, her original blues and soul music supergroup Irene Torres & The SugarDevils, and the Latin house project Sol Azul. This year Irene is releasing her own songs in Spanish and traditional covers from her Peruvian heritage as a debut LP. Her first single, MADRESELVA, was listed in 2022's top tracks by CBC Music's Global Radio show "Frequencies." "Fuego, " released on Bancamp Friday, is a romantic Peruvian waltz about breaking the cycle of generational trauma. Playlist: Fiery Valentines.
