YOLA NASH - MUSIC VIDEO
of Manhattan Whispers

She Migrated From Communist Poland To The United States For Creative Freedom, And The Ability To Express Her Outspoken Voice

"Few decades ago under the communistic regime Poland you were jailed if you listened to jazz records. Maybe that is why I was so fascinated and drawn to jazz music. Because it meant a freedom of creation and freedom of heart"

Hardened by growing up in communist Poland her big dreams and goals were not dimmed, the vibrant spirit of jazz singer-songwriter Yola Nash permeates through the entire project as she realizes her musical dream in NY. Celebration of life is a central motif for Nash's new album Manhattan Whispers stamped with her signature seductive sound. Her exotic delivery is lushly flavored with Eastern European folk, Parisian avant-garde texture of accordion harmonics and brilliantly anchored with an intoxicating groovy Latin flair.

"Yola Nash embodies the universality of jazz. Manhattan Whispers…perfects further her unique approach to seasoning elements of Latin jazz with musical spices of Eastern Europe. Nash's voice is sensual and breezy… She weaves together multiple cultures. Manhattan Whispers is a celebration of the mind and the heart." Critic's Pick - All About Jazz C. Michael Bailey

"Yola's delivery is exquisite. It's a moving piece of work, and the musicianship is top notch." Hal B. Selzer (Joan Jett & The Blackhearts)

"… lushly orchestrated, delightfully Parisian…, infectiously-imbibed, Latin-tinged work of musical art." Exclusive Magazine

"…bringing a sensual atmosphere… enthusiastic… exuberant…brimming with zest for life. She makes a cross-over between jazz, pop, Latin and Eastern European music. In this way she arrives at a personal style." Smooth Jazz.de Magazine

Five-time Grammy nominated Singer, Pianist Michael Feinstein stated: "She has the most comforting beautiful voice. Her voice is music!"

Blending and blurring the lines between Jazz, Pop, Latin and Eastern European colors Yola's entire performance is imbued with fresh sparkling sensuality, and positive spirit accompanied by her brilliant band. Her evocative lyrics talk about life, importance of love and current events in the world. It's the Polish-born artist third studio album, as a leader. She co-produced the project with Grammy-winning musicians and producers Edsel Gomez (Dee Dee Bridgewater) and Lonnie Park (Steward Copeland).

Manhattan Whispers, smooth jazz cross-over is being considered for a GRAMMY in Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category, it was moved there because of its strong genre fusion quality.
