| Valleyfest features Sol Roots, La Marvela, Stacy Brooks, La Unica  ValleyFest 2022 is a street festival style celebration of Arts, Business, & Community taking place on Sunday Sept 25 in Arlington, Virginia. The festival will feature musical performances from La Marvela, Stacy Brooks, La Unica, Sol Roots Trio, food trucks, delicious beer, a kids zone, and local visual artists.Entrance is free to Valley Fest for those to enjoy community arts, music, performances. Valley Fest will feature some of New District's best beers, including the newly released Octoberfest Märzen. Beer will be served both inside the brewery as well as at a special beer tent in the parking lot. Food and desert trucks will be on site with outdoor seating. We'll see you at the festival! Please help us celebrate this occasion on Sunday, Sept 25" LA MARVELA is an all-women music band that plays and highlights the richness of rhythms from the Colombian Caribbean region rooted in African, Indigenous and European influences. The group was formed in an effort to provide a learning space and honor Colombian ancestral music from a female perspective. STACY BROOKS is a powerful vocalist and exciting performer who is internationally known as "D.C.'s Queen of the Blues". Stacy is a multi-award winner and has shared the stage with blues legends such as Kenny Neal, Billy Branch, Mike Wheeler Band and many more. Stacy performs nationally and overseas with her own groups, as well as a featured performer. LA UNICA combines Celtic, Latin, Rock, Funk and Reggae music and applies this sound to their own original creations and familiar-sounding cover songs which are sung in both English and Spanish. La Unica offers a truly original sound and provides a high energy show which gets everyone dancing and excited to celebrate. The SOL ROOTS band performs a mix of New Orleans style funk, greasy soul, deep blues, energetic rock, heartfelt R&B, and hypnotic grooves. Sol is a fierce guitarist and soulful vocalist who has toured with many music legends around the world. Sol Roots was awarded "Best Blues Artist/Group" 2019 by The Wammie Awards / The MusicianShip. Valleyfest will be held on South Oakland Street in Arlington VA.
