Sarah McKenzie US Tour Dates

Australian-born, Los Angeles-based jazz pianist, composer and singer Sarah McKenzie is poised to join the rarefied air occupied by superstars Diana Krall and Norah Jones. Balancing a master's touch on piano with a warm, bright, and inviting vocal approach, McKenzie possesses a singular gift, transporting listeners to a world of sophistication and romance.

Building a burgeoning career in the Australian scene, McKenzie earned a full scholarship to Boston's prestigious Berklee College of Music, and her first three albums for the Australian ABC Music label won her an ARIA Music Award for Best Jazz Album and the prestigious Bell Award. Her third session, We Could Be Lovers, was picked up by the legendary Impulse! label, and subsequently she recorded her first album specifically for Impulse!, Paris in the Rain.

She will perform music from her newest Normandy Lane release, Secrets of My Heart, and her upcoming album, Music Connects our World, a cross-genre collaboration during lockdown which featured soloists as divers as Omar Massa (bandoneon), Hermine Deurloo (chromatic harmonica), Barbara Dennerlein (Hammond organ), Marius Neset (saxophone), Fabrizio Bosso, Carlos Sarduy and Kenny Rampton (all trumpet), Ulf Wakenius (guitar) and Brazilian legends Jaques Morelenbaum (cello) and Romero Lubambo (guitar).

Produced by veteran composer and arranger Chong Lim (Kylie Minogue, Nikki Webster, Olivia Newton-John), Secrets of My Heart is a distinctly cosmopolitan collection of originals and modern standards that flows seamlessly from the music of Brazil to a Gershwin medley, with a band including Dan Wilson on guitar, vibraphonist Warren Wolf, drummer Donald Edwards, French bassist Pierre Boussaguet, and with a solo spot on De Nada, Brazilian legend Danilo Caymmi.
