| Jeremy Green - Standing Eight (Releasing September 18, 2022) Canadian Guitarist Jeremy Green Standing Eight Add Date: September 12, 2022 U.S. Street Date: September 18, 2022 Over a year in the making, Standing Eight is an 8-song album that is a full throttle, funk-fusion romp showcasing some of the world's most renowned instrumentalists. The album features drummer Keith Carlock throughout with spotlight performances by Mike Stern, Jimmy Haslip, Robben Ford, Will Lee, Victor Wooten, Oz Noy, Tim Lefebvre, Billy Sheehan, Michel Cusson, Rich Brown, Chase Baird, Moto Fukushima, Mark Levron and Ian Desouza. The album was mixed and mastered in Nashville by Jerry Guidroz (Winery Dogs, Flying Colors, Haken). Guitarist Jeremy Green began playing the electric guitar at age 12 when he would sneak into his older brother's room to play a used, brown burst, Ibanez Roadstar Custom. After three years, he began playing semi-professionally, performing in small clubs and party venues across Southern Ontario, Canada. Because of his young age, club owners often made Green sit backstage between his sets. From the early-mid-80s, he has performed in and around the Toronto music scene in some of The 6's most iconic venues. Green has since recorded with acclaimed musicians such as Mike Stern, Robben Ford, Keith Carlock, Victor Wooten, Billy Sheehan, among others. His original works have garnered praise from studios and industry experts and have been featured in various online sources and print publications such as Guitar Player Magazine. His music has been featured locally on JazzFM (Canada's premier jazz radio station) and worldwide on other traditional radio stations, including spotlights in a growing list of places across the globe. "It was an honour paying homage to these guys. Every song was written with their uniqueness in mind, as you can tell from the title of each track, " says Green.
