Based on the Joe's Pub at the Public residency, this series of stories interacts with the lives of the people involved. From 2012 to 2020, Cadence writers and interviewers asked subjects to present stories in their own words. Here they are! Retold on the stage and on the street. These are New York Centric Stories. History meets day to day in a series format.

Music featuring Bernard Purdie, David Haney, Jay Clayton, Adam Lane, Nick Lyons, Kirk Knuffke, Sila Shaman, Dave Storrs and others.

David Haney studied composition with Czech-American composer Tomas Svoboda and piano with jazz pianist Eddie Wied.
