| The Fund For Phil: Really Appreciate Your Help With This One Greetings Everybody Phil Ware has been a huge personality in the Irish & UK jazz scene for over 20 years. In 2020 he was struck down by a devastating stroke. His friends and colleagues were called upon to assist Phil and they answered the call. The Fund For Phip was set up. Unfortunately Phil still requires ongoing care. Eamonn Lenihan, the well known National Irish Radio broadcaster, former BBC producer and singer/songwriter has come forward with an initiative to aid in The Fund For Phil. Lenihan is releasing a previous unheard EP of songs recorded a few years ago in a home studio with The Phil Ware Trio and Danny Healy. He is now releasing the EP with all proceeds going to The Fund For Phil. What we would like to ask you in true Bob Geldof style is to PLAY THE RECORD and take a moment to mention The Fund For Phil on your show (Full press release included). If you are a writer, journalist, blogger, CD reviewer etc. we want you TO WRITE ABOUT IT!! Post it on your social media simply TELL THE WORLD. Phil Ware was simply one of those musicians who everybody loved. He had great international reach and often invited many international artists to Ireland to play. He has been a mentor to many students who have gone through his hands in The Newpark School of Music and subsequently Dublin City University. PHIL NEEDS OUR HELP NOW!!
