| The Belmondo Quintet voted "Band of the Year" by the French Victoires du Jazz 2021 Known for now 30 years, the Belmondo Quintet, born in 1993 in Saint-Germain-des-Près, gave birth to 4 albums which led Lionel and Stéphane Belmondo on many musical adventures, to the edge of modal jazz, to French and liturgical music, and major meetings with Yusef Lateef and Milton Nascimento. In 2021, the highly anticipated release of "Brotherhood" marked, ten years after the band's last album, the reformation of their quintet and the rebirth of their label B Flat Recordings, under the auspices of jazz&people. In this record, leading an all-star band with Eric Legnini on the piano, the most famous siblings of French jazz salute their masters and combine a quarter of a century of musical adventures, inhabited by a flawless memory and an intact spiritual force. After having visited the stage of the biggest French jazz festivals last summer, the Belmondo Quintet continues to attract the public on the occasion of its numerous concerts in all of France and deserved to be praised as the "Band of the Year" 2021!
