NICOLE HENRY RELEASES “TIME TO LOVE AGAIN’’

On TIME TO LOVE AGAIN, vocalist NICOLE HENRY performs an eclectic mix of jazz standards and reimagined pop tunes with the sweet yet powerful voice that has made her a world-wide favorite with audiences and critics alike. This is Henry's eighth CD, following four of which charted on Billboard and HMV Japan's Top 10 jazz charts and earned her a Soul Train Award for "Best Traditional Jazz Performance" – including Embraceable (2011), The Very Thought of You (2008), Teach Me Tonight (2005), and The Nearness of You (2004).

TIME TO LOVE AGAIN is a showcase for her soulful interpretations of songs by a diverse group of iconic composers including Anthony Newley, James Taylor, Rodgers & Hart, Buffy Sainte Marie, Ned Washington, and Joan Armatrading. A part-time New Yorker prior to the pandemic, Henry recorded in her home base of Miami. She assembled a top group of over 20 South Florida musicians for TIME TO LOVE AGAIN, anchored by her long-time quartet Pete Wallace (piano, keyboards, organ), Eric England (bass), Dave Chiverton (drums), and Aaron Lebos (guitar). In addition to her quartet's collaborations, the supplemental arrangements by Shedrick Mitchell, David Cook and Marvin Sewell are truly tailored for Henry's natural propensity to groove and to reveal her joie de vivre and obvious passion for lyrics. Featured soloists include Troy Roberts (tenor), Gregoire Marét (harmonica), John Michalak (tenor) and Jean Caze (trumpet).

Henry has headlined in 20 countries at major venues including Blue Note, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Blues Alley, Arsht Center, Feinstein's, Green Mill, Jazz St. Louis, Madrid Jazz Festival, the Regattabar, and Catalina Jazz Club. She has recorded with Kirk Whalum, Julian Lage, Gerald Clayton and Gil Goldstein and has also performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra and Michael Feinstein.
