| KARUNA SHINSHO RELEASES NEW SINGLE “O PATO” - Bossa Nova from Japan!  Japanese American singer Karuna Shinsho, known for her smooth and soothing vocal interpretations of jazz standards and bossa nova songs, released her second single "O Pato" on major streaming platforms - May 15th, 2021. She released her first single "Smile" in collaboration with jazz singer Dani Assis on November 16, 2020.After seeing the late Nancy Wilson sing in Tokyo in her youth, jazz has been a constant companion throughout Shinsho's life. She started her career as an award-winning international broadcast journalist, but immersed herself in the world of music as a way to heal from a challenging period later in life. During that time, she also met world-renowned Brazilian musician/composer Nanny Assis who, recognizing her passion, agreed to produce her first album of bossa nova songs and standards from the Great American Songbook. Shinsho's latest single "O Pato'' is a special rendition of a bossa nova classic that will, in her words, "make you want to dance!" Her joyful singing and mastery of the Portuguese lyrics are accompanied by the best in the Brazilian music scene, including song arranger Marcelo Kimura on guitar, Leonardo Lucini on bass, and Assis on percussion. "O Pato'' follows Shinsho's well received first single "Smile." Both songs are on her upcoming debut album "To Love Again" slated for a 2021 release date, a culmination of three years of her dedicated work. Shinsho says, "This was only possible because my producer Nanny believed in me, when I didn't even believe in myself. I hope that listeners will feel the love and passion I put into this album and that my music will bring them joy."
