Kety Fusco | United Nations SDG Global Festival of Action

Swiss harpist Kety Fusco is one of the rare Swiss invited by the United Nations to perform two songs from her debut album DAZED co-written and produced by Aris Bassetti of the band Peter Kernel, at the SDG Global Festival of Action, a festival with the aim of raising awareness of the sustainable development goals, promoted by the UN. The festival hosts other great musicians such as Patti Smith, Ben Harper etc.

Kety Fusco's on-line performance will frame the splendid natural context of San Bernardino (municipality of Mesocco, Switzerland). This village, nestled in the mountains of Graubünden canton, offers to the spectator unique wealth of trails, pine forests, rivers and alpine lakes.

From the very beginning of her musical career, Kety Fusco has stood out for her love for Nature and support to Women. There was not a moment of hesitation for her when deciding to make the exhibition for the United Nations right on the peaks, so dear to her and that she has been cuddling some time now, even on a political level in the region. New tangible ideas to highlight the historical, environmental and landscape context in order to make the most of the evocative potential of the area.

The show is identified under the theme of "Life on Earth (Protect and promote the sustainable use of our ecosystem)". The mountain areas, sources of the water we are lucky to have must be preserved, also because we are all closely connected. Precisely in this context, Kety has chosen to play on a snowy slope that has recently been softly colored by Sahara's sand. A very light, almost imperceptible haze that however makes us feel so small and in the same time so involved in issues that seem so distant to us.

Even the moment in which the live will take place was not chosen by chance: at sunset. An elusive moment-par-excellence where everything changes in a few seconds; light, energy, wind, temperature... just to confront the rhythm of the Nature. It is up to us to adapt and respect it.
