112-Year-Old Lionel Hampton Receives Grammy
Lifetime Achievement Award!

"On behalf of the Lionel Hampton Estate, including the Lionel Hampton Big Band, we are thrilled and honored to learn the Grammy Board of Trustees has awarded Lionel Hampton a Lifetime Achievement Award. May his "Good Vibes" live on forever."

Said Timothy Francis, Manager of the Lionel Hampton Estate. Mr. Francis and the Francis family not only represent the Estate, but were also very close to Lionel Hampton during his life. Tim has been safeguarding Hamp's original, authentic Jazz legacy, in addition to managing the Band, during the 20 years since Lionel's passing.
Mr. Francis was delighted to receive a personal call from the Interim President/CEO of the Recording Academy, Harvey Mason jr., announcing the amazing news.

Great News for the New Lionel Hampton Big Band too!

• Sold Out their 6 nights at Birdland NY in February 2020
• Reached No. 7 on the National Jazz Chart the same week
• Debuted new CD "Live at Rossmoor" on Alfi Records.
