Jim Eigo is a jazz record business veteran with over 40 years experience. Over these past 40 years Jim has worn many hats going back to his early days in retail running the jazz department at the legendary Greenwich Village record shop Happy Tunes Records, setting up the first record store in Soho the Soho Music Gallery, and managing the jazz department for J & R Music World. On the distribution side he was the sales manager for JCOA/NMDS (Jazz Composers Orchestra Association/New Music Distribution Service). In the 1980s he founded the all jazz mail company Daybreak Express Records, On the label side he was the US sales manager for Intuition Music and the US label manager for Dreyfus Jazz. For the past 20 years he's operated his Jazz Promo Services company which is a pioneer in email marketing and promotion.
