Greetings,

I am Adam Palma, a professional guitar player living in the UK and a guitar tutor at the Salford University in Manchester.

I am pleased to share with you my submissions for this year's Grammy Awards. This is my first ever submission for a Grammy in what has been, for me, the most challenging of years!
Due to Covid-19 I spent 44 days in a coma on a ventilator and have spent the past few months recovering from the ordeal. My doctors described my survival as a miracle.
Although I have not yet regained full health, my guitar skills have come back stronger.

My album "Adam Palma Meets Chopin" is one of the quintessential music projects this year in Poland (the country of my birth) with a fresh, energizing take on the master's finest works. As you know, Chopin's inspiring works were originally crafted for the piano but I play them on the acoustic guitar with a plectrum.

This is the first-ever album with Chopin's music recorded on an acoustic guitar. What many people thought was an impossible task, it was enthusiastically received by all the press and critics!

Best regards,
Adam Palma DMA

About Adam:
A native of Poland, Adam Palma graduated with Honours from The Music Academy in Katowice, received a Doctoral degree at The Music Academy in Gdansk, and won "The Best Acoustic Guitarist" title in Poland in 2014.

Along with his solo efforts, he is also a well-respected guitar tutor at the University of Salford. Adam has recorded and performed with the most reputable Polish musicians and, since moving to the UK, has performed with the likes of Al Di Meola, Tommy Emmanuel, Bireli Lagrene, Chris de Burgh, and many more. His unique style mixes blues, rock, jazz, funk, Latin, and country music.

Adam's previous solo album "Palm-istry" was cited with fantastic reviews in guitar magazines around the world. Guitar Player magazine even featured Adam's song ''RHEGED'' on the front page of their website in June 2017. Adam's latest album "Adam Palma Meets Chopin" is the first-ever album playing the music of Frederick Chopin on the acoustic guitar with a plectrum. His collection of Chopin's revisited classics have been received very enthusiastically by both the press and the critics!
