The song is taken from his upcoming album "Like The Sun" to be released in October 2020 via How Bad Pretty Bad Records. "Sham" will be officially released on all digital and streaming platforms on July 6, 2020. "Sham" tackles the issues of reflections, reality, and disappointment – all in a very joyful way. The video for this song uses a lot of mirror effects, and so does the syntax of the lyrics. This track is about what you believe you see in others and what you think they see in you, what you want to look like and what you want others to be deep inside. There's always a huge gap between the projections people have of others and their reality. I guess when you try to define people in one way or another based on what you think they should be, and then you define yourself in light of these projections, the result is bound to be disastrous. You end up with a mess in which truth gets lost, a super complex "you define me defining you" kind of mood. And then various stuff starts to explode. Not only metaphorically. This is what "Sham" is about, I guess. Stuff exploding not only metaphorically. write your comments about the article :: © 2020 Jazz News :: home page |
