| Ferdinando Arnò's new project w/ Pharoah Sanders, Samora Pinderhughes and many others F E R D I N A N D O A R N Ò PRESENTS THERE WAS AN ANGEL (Featuring Samora Pinderhughes and Precious Ebony) RELEASED BY NOISE HEROES The soulful ecstasy of Samora Pinderhughes’s angelic voice and the electrifying urban flow of New York's Queer Ballroom Scene (Precious Ebony) are the driving force behind “There Was An Angel” of the new single composed and produced by Ferdinando Arnò. Three and a half minutes of modern pop music, breaking-down all traditional aesthetic conventions, magically interpreted by Samora Pinderhughes (musician, composer and very refined crooner, known for his collaborations with Herbie Hancock and the rapper Common in the August Greene project) and Precious Ebony, the East Coast icon of beyond the genres freestyle (in the rhymes he deals intensely with the relationship with the mother and his homosexuality). Recorded between Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Milan by an impressive session men team, “There Was An Angel” has been mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Adele, Beck, David Bowie) at Electric Lady Studios in New York and mastered by Greg Calbi at New Jersey's Sterling Sound Studios F E R D I N A N D O A R N Ò PRESENTS WHAT LOVE (Featuring Pharoah Sanders, Daniel and Isaac Gonora, Angel Bat Dawid, B’Rael Ali Thunder) RELEASED BY NOISE HEROES This is a global pandemic, and a wonderful way to heal our souls is to create together. The new track “What Love” embodies this spirit of unity. It is the soundtrack of different musical cultures fitting together like puzzle pieces to create an intriguing, pancultural jam brimming with balmy African melodies, rhythms, and soul. This four-minute United Nations of good vibes has been conceived by Ferdinando Arnò who wrote and produced the track. It features contributions from around the world, including musicians Isaac and Daniel Gonora from Zimbabwe, along with special guests from Chicago, Los Angeles, and Milan, before it received the golden sonic touch in New Jersey from mastering engineer Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound Studios. The vibe here was to create something of a “planet song,” an artistic statement that seamlessly weaves together aesthetics and cultures. To that end, “What Love” mastermind Ferdinando Arnò harnesses the power of a vibrant array of singular talents. The track includes the jazzy swagger of Angel Bat Dawid's, the mystical music stylings of tenor titan Pharoah Sanders (who Ornette Coleman called the best tenor in the world), the rap-art poetry of B'Rael Ali Thunder, the purity and joyfulness of the Note2etoN Zimbabwe Kids Choir, and “What Love” boasts an A-list cast of Italian session musicians, including Paolo Costa, Giorgio Cocilovo, Daniele Comoglio, and Luana Heredia. “What Love” is an invigorating blend of artistry, aesthetics, and cultures. It’s an act of osmosis through music, as seemingly different perspectives breakthrough barriers and border in song. write your comments about the article :: © 2020 Jazz News :: home page |
