| Flushing Town Hall at Home Flushing Town Hall is excited to launch its new, virtual series, Flushing Town Hall At Home!, which includes performance streaming with FTH at Home: Facebook Watch Party Live!, its new family program FTH: Global Arts for Global Kids at Home, and FTH at Home: Zoom Community Hang. While temporarily closed in accordance with COVID-19 physical distancing measures, Flushing Town Hall will be sharing its renowned, global arts programming online. Every Tuesday and Friday at 7:00 PM, FTH at Home: Facebook Watch Party Live! is streaming prior live performances that were held at the venue. Viewers can tune in to the organization's Facebook "watch party" and discover the diverse, family-friendly arts performances its audiences have grown to love. Be it world music, Latin music, or, jazz — Flushing Town Hall has something for everyone. In addition, Flushing Town Hall's dedicated Teaching Artists are offering online classes in the new series FTH: Global Arts for Global Kids at Home. The series of arts education will run Tuesday through Friday, and culminate in an online family matinee performance on Saturday. The first lesson launches on Tuesday, March 31. Each day participants will enjoy short videos of music or dance and post-lesson activities will be available online. Participants are also encouraged to post short video clips of themselves learning. The teaching artists series currently includes Colombian music with Flushing Town Hall Teaching Artist Martin Vejarano, Chinese dance with FTH TA Ling Tang, and Indian dance with FTH TA Abha Roy. Details will be made available on Flushing Town Hall's website and Facebook page. Community is everything for Flushing Town Hall, and especially in this difficult time, it is important to keep in touch and stay connected with our friends and supporters. Days and times for FTH at Home: Zoom Community Hang will be announced online and participants can join with or without video. "In times of crisis, the arts remind us of our shared humanity, " says Executive and Artistic Director Ellen Kodadek. "Though we may find ourselves more physically isolated than usual, none of us are alone. Join us online! Tune into one of our Zoom Community sessions so we can see your smiling faces, participate in an online arts workshop with your kids, or clap along, dance around your living room, and enjoy both new and familiar sounds in our next watch party."
