Debut release for ECHOES - "Loading Screen" on NextLevel

"Loading Screen" sees the up-and-coming ensemble Echoes blend modern chamber music and futuristic electronic sounds in a profoundly unique way. The album features a variety of electronic instruments and intricate digital loops and draws inspiration from London drum and bass tracks, West African drum circles, and even Los Angeles dream-pop. From high-energy electronic grooves (Tardy Party) to serene ballads (Unconditional), "Loading Screen" showcases dynamic songwriting and thoughtful textures throughout, positioning the forward-leaning ensemble as one to watch in the coming years.

Collectivist ensemble, Echoes, are releasing their first full-length album, Loading Screen, on August 2nd, 2019. The ensemble is playing a run of West Coast shows in the summer to coincide with the release.

Loading Screen sees the group combining all four members' diverse influences into something meaningful while navigating the precarious position that comes with being an up-and-coming ensemble in the 21st century.

"Echoes is unique in the jazz world because it truly is a leaderless collective – we all contributed compositions and ideas that made this record what it is" says drummer Chase Kuesel. "The record eschews a single aesthetic and instead embraces the multitude of music that has shaped who we are."

And these influences are as diverse as the four members themselves. Loading Screen features a variety of electronic instruments and intricate digital loops and draws inspiration from London drum and bass tracks, West African drum circles, and even Los Angeles dream pop.

The album showcases a careful convergence of chamber music with futuristic experimentation and positions the band as a forward-leaning ensemble to watch in the coming years.
