| W.W. Lowman | "This Form" W.W. Lowman is releasing today his new album "This Form" mixed by John McEntire (Tortoise). About the Release "This Form" is a record that is concerned with the intersection of field recordings of "the everyday" and the digital arrangement and manipulation of those sounds. By combining these techniques a sonic space emerges that is simultaneously old and new, organic and inorganic. This space is precariously balanced, producing blends of sound that ebb and flow between these states. The rhythm of insects or the shuffling of people moving through a turnstyle, or the resonance of a large museum hall, serve as scaffolding for compositions that explore and evolve the tonality latent in these physical spaces and environments. "This Form" was completed in Spring of 2018 and mixed by John McEntire (Tortoise, blah) at Soma Studios. About the Artist After studying classical and jazz bass in college, Bill Lowman has performed with and recorded with numerous groups such as Bosco & Jorge, The Aluminum Group, Alasdair Roberts and Lindsay Anderson. As a multiinstrumentalist he plays, guitar, standup and electric bass, piano, jews harp and chango. His group Bosco & Jorge released two full lengths and one E.P in the early 2000s, and he released three records under his solo project name W.W. Lowman. Currently Lowman studies composition under W. A. Mathieu in the lineage of Pandit Pran Nanh and Hazrat Inyat Khan. W.W. Lowman This Form Tracklisting 1. Release 2. Beauregardless 3. Spirit 4. Atonement 5. Back 6.
