Nicole Zuraitis and the Israeli MusicTalks Jazz Quartet Celebrate "Blues and the Golden Age of Jazz" Nov 9

On Stage At Kingsborough, a leading performing arts presenter, is pleased to present its 2018-2019 season featuring world class artists from around the globe. On Stage At Kingsborough brings top notch performing arts to Southern Brooklyn, with an eclectic roster of artists spanning multiple genres including cabaret, dance, music, and family programming. The full season runs through May 17, 2019.

On Friday November 9th, join host Elad Kabilio from MusicTalks for an intimate performance "Blues and the Golden Age of Jazz, " as part of On Stage At Kingsborough's Jazz At The Lighthouse series. The evening will celebrate the joy of the blues and the golden age of jazz. Singer/pianist Nicole Zuraitis and the Israeli MusicTalks Jazz Quartet, will pay tribute to nostalgic blues and jazz standards by such legends as Duke Ellington, Charlie Bird, Miles Davis, Billie Holiday.

The Jazz At The Lighthouse series presents intimate jazz performances in a modern lighthouse, featuring picturesque floor-to-ceiling views of the sea. Enjoy jazz, complete with wine and cheese in a relaxed nightclub setting.

Elad Kabilio is a renowned Israeli cellist and founder of MusicTalks, an organization which breaks down the barriers between musicians and audience by taking advantage of the intimacy that the music provides. With engaging and interactive conversation, the listener is given an experience that truly makes Music Talk.

Nicole Zuraitis is the vocalist for the world-famous New York City-based Birdland Big Band. Her new album Hive Mind won Best Jazz Album in the 2018 International Music and Entertainment Awards.

On Stage At Kingsborough (OSK) brings artistically and culturally diverse, multidisciplinary performances from masters of the form to the varied communities within and surrounding Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn. We strive to create an environment where the arts are an accessible and integral part of life, and the Arts Center is a community gathering place for interaction and inspiration. We present world class dance, cabaret, theatre, music, and family performances in the Leon M. Goldstein Performing Arts Center and Kingsborough Community College's Lighthouse from October to May, and our Hot Summer Nights! free outdoor concert series at Kingsborough Community College's bandshell every July. Our school-time shows welcome classes from local public and private schools, a majority of which serves economically-disadvantaged or special needs populations.
