Tribute to Allan Holdsworth by simakDialog & MoonJune - Free Download of Riza Arshad's arrangement of Water On The Brain Pt. 2

Dear Friends In Music

Exactly one year ago, on April 15, 2017, a dear friend died.

There is no greater measure of a life well lived than the amount of people he had impacted, and by that measure the artist Allan Holdsworth lived a very good life. This man took a plank of wood, a few strings, and some wires and transformed people's lives in a way that few others have. The ultimate genius of the rarest kind. One of THE greatest musicians ever lived. So much history with Allan Holdsworth between 2001-2016.

Rest In Peace, Allan Holdsworth.
Thank You for everything.
I miss You.

Earlier last year, on January 13, 2017, one of my best friend died as well, the iconic Indonesian piano maestro, Riza Arshad, of simakDialog, a progressive jazz band from Jakarta, Indonesia. For simakDialog's last tour in the USA, in November of 2014, Riza Arshad arranged one tune of Allan Holdsworth for the band's live repertoire: Water On The Brain, Part 2, originally recorded on the seminal album "Road Games" (1983). The tune was played only on the band's performances in New York, NY (ShapeSHifter Lab), Baltimore, MD (Orion Studios) and Pamberton, NJ (Burlington County College, Gagliarchives Radio Show). We planned to release a live album in mid 2017 using recordings from the Baltimore show, but Riza's premature death stopped our plans. Eventually one day, the Live In Baltimore 2014 will come out, but I thought I would like to tribute Allan Holdsworth with Riza Arshad's tribute to Allan.

The live version of Water On The Brain, Part 2 by simakDialog is available for FREE DOWNLOAD until April 22, 2018.
