The album by Trumpetmachine is a one-time one-of-a-kind album with six trumpet greats flying out proud! Check them out!

Francy Boland Orchestra - White Heat //1978

From 1959 through 1972, French pianist/composer/arranger Francy Boland and US drum legend Kenny Clarke fronted one of the greatest big bands of the era. Situated in Europe and stacked with international stars, the popular band recorded a slew of albums including over half a dozen for MPS.

After the band's breakup, Boland concentrated on composing, as well as arranging for such stars as Sarah Vaughan. He also recorded three classic albums for MPS in 1976. The third, "White Heat", is once again studded with stars; the 24-piece band includes saxophonists Sahib Shihab, Ronnie Scott, Sal Nistico, trumpeters Kenny Wheeler, Benny Bailey, Dusko Gojkovic, and trombonists Frank Rosolino, and Eric Van Lier.

James Moody, Al Cohn - Too Heavy For Words //1973

Tenor sax battles have been an indelible part of jazz, as witnessed by the legendary Coleman Hawkins/Lester Young battles, the classic Dexter Gordon/Wardell Gray albums, and the Rollins/Coltrane "Tenor Madness". Add this 1971 skirmish between James Moody and Al Cohn to the list. A mainstay in Gillespie's big band and quintet, Moody worked with many of the music's greats. His solo on I'm in the Mood for Love is a jazz classic. Cohn is recognized for his part in Woody Herman's famous Four Brothers tenor sax section, as well as his quintet with fellow tenor great Zoot Sims.

Line-Up:
Roy Brooks (Drums), Barry Harris (Piano), Sam Jones (Bass), Al Cohn, James Moody (Tenor saxophone)

Trumpet Machine - For Flying Out Proud //1977

Trumpeters Woody Shaw, Kenny Wheeler, John Faddis, Palle Mikkebourg, and Mike Zwerin playing together on the same album? Impossible, you say? Well, think again; thanks to the creative vision of the amazing Swiss keyboardist/composer George Gruntz, his longtime friend, trumpeter Franco Ambrosetti, and MPS, the impossible was made possible – an assemblage of some of the great trumpeters in contemporary jazz.

Line-Up:
Daniel Humair (Drums), George Gruntz (Electric Piano, Synthesizer, Piano), Mike Zwerin (Trumpet [Bass Trumpet]), Franco Ambrosetti, Jon Faddis, Kenny Wheeler, Palle Mikkelborg, Woody Shaw (Trumpet, Flugelhorn)
