| Jazz Flutist Bobby Ramirez Performs at Punto de Jazz Concert Series in Puerto Rico Jazz musician, flutist, saxophonist Bobby Ramirez will be performing as part of Punto de Jazz concert series presented by Jazz radio VID 90.3 FM, and Jazzonian, on Saturday, March 18th, 2017, at Sazonao Restaurante, Carretera 102 Salida 168 Bo. Benavente, Hormigueros, Puerto Rico (bring your own chair; ice coolers not allowed); start time 7:30 PM. Ramirez will be the featured guest performer with Sound Jazz band led by pianist Alan Rivera. The performance will also include two songs tribute to the late great Jazz flutist Dave Valentin who recently died; including "Obsesiòn" written by the famed Puerto Rican composer, Pedro Flores; and "It Might as Well Be Spring" composed by Richard Rodgers from the 1945 movie "State Fair." Born in Camajuani, Santa Clara, Cuba, Maestro Bobby Ramirez grew up in Hialeah (Miami) Florida where he initiated his musical career, expanding over 3 decades since 1979.
