Tessa Souter Appearing at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola

"An astute and expressive jazz singer" Nate Chinen, New York Times

"Shimmers in the dark" Clive Davis, Sunday Times UK (A Top Ten Jazz CD of the Year)

Tessa Souter is a London-born, Harlem-based Anglo-Trinidadian vocalist and composer named "Rising Star" for two consecutive years in the DownBeatCritics' Poll. She performs transformative arrangements of a delightfully eclectic repertoire. Whether Souter is interpreting songs by The Beatles, Kenny Barron, Chopin, Benny Carter, Cream, Debussy, or original numbers with cross-continental influences, she has a distinctive voice and a mature, emotionally resonant dedication to melody. Souter always brings a great band with her, and we're thrilled to have her back at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola for the first time since 2013.
