| Carol Sudhalter Astoria Big Band Concert ![]() Sudhalter founded the Astoria Big Band in 1986 and has given more than 30 special concerts in and around Queens on the themes of women composers and the Jazz History of Queens. She currently leads the monthly jam sessions at Flushing Town Hall. She is profiled in several books and in Wikipedia, and was 9th place winner of Down Beat Readers' Poll for Best Jazz Flutist in 2012.
