| South African Artiste Shashika Mooruth Releases Krishna, The Flute Player Krishna, The Flute Player is my life…. my music. My journey that started as a little girl in S.Africa to India the land of spiritual music.…My attraction to the flute player who sent me on a journey of music from Govardhan in Uttar Pradesh, India to Ajmer in Rajasthan! The flute player who has taken me to different parts of the world in my music. However, I wanted that my listeners should experience their own journey in the music and so I created the format whereby there is only one lyric based track in the album of nine tracks. The rest has my voice in different emotions allowing the listener to dive into his journey. My intention therefore for this World Music album is to create artistic inspiration, relaxation, and optimism. It can be used by listeners for yoga, massage, meditation, as a method of stress management or to create a peaceful but vibrant atmosphere in your home or other environments. The album includes both electronic forms and acoustic forms, featuring instruments such as flutes, piano, guitar and a wide variety of non-western acoustic instruments such as the bamboo flute, sarangi, bulbul tarang and batajon along with vocal arrangements. Composed and arranged by Rajeev Mahavir and myself Shashika Mooruth, the album includes Rakesh Chaurasia (flute), Atul Sharma (flute), Pradeep Pandit (bulbul tarang) and Sandeep Mishra (sarangi).
