| Kiki Sanchez "Big Band Jazz Project"  Kiki Sanchez Announces the Release of the Single, "Too Many Notes"The extraordinary producer, composer, arranger, and pianist Luis Enrique "Kiki" Sanchez has released "Too Many Notes, " his latest single and the first track of the forthcoming "Kiki Sanchez Big Band Jazz Project", a project featuring his arrangements and compositions. The underlying concept is the combination of bebop melody, modern Cuban Timba beat and innovation of Afro-Peruvian Festejo, featuring multipercussionist Hugo Bravo on the Cajon, Batajones, Checo & Bass Cajon. Sanchez' vision is to incorporate Peruvian Rhythms/instruments into Big Band music style. The CD will also feature younger musicians from the Miami area, a melting pot of players from the US, Peru, Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Venezuela. Featured on the album are Edilio Bermudez (Bass), Peter Francis (Trumpet), Jorge Dobal (Trombones), Ismael Vergara (Saxes), Reinier Guerra (Drums), Daniel Berroa (Percussion), and Hugo Bravo (Afro-Peruvian Percussion) Sanchez has been a key contributor to three Grammy-nominated CD's: "Blown Away" by Frankie Marcus, featuring Arturo Sandoval. Sanchez programmed Keyboards and played piano. (Universal Music) "La Onda Latina", Frankie Marcus and Clouds was nominated for Best Traditional Tropical Album where Kiki arranged, programmed, and recorded piano. (Estreno Digital) "Back to Basic" from Edwin Bonilla (Gloria Estefan's percussionist) where Kiki composed, arranged and recorded the piano on the track titled "Descarga Para El Bailador" (SonicProject Records) Kiki has performed in several Jazz Festivals such as: Montreux, St. Lucia, Grenada, Ohio Jazz and Rib and others. He has also been the music director for "Noches Tropicales" Jazz series at Miami Dade County Auditorium. He has been doing music clinics and workshops in the States and overseas.
