Unwrap Jazz This Summer at Straight Ahead Jazz Camp July 18-22

Come to Chicago to join educators, students and music lovers ages 18 and up for Straight Ahead Jazz Camp, a week-long exploration of the inner workings of jazz from July 18-22 at Columbia College Chicago.Come listen to and play with special guest artists Regina Carter, Slide Hampton, Stefon Harris, Dee Alexander and Victor Goines at hands-on workshops, clinics, lectures and jam sessions along with other noted musicians and experts from Chicago and around the country.

The camp is designed for jazz enthusiasts and well as jazz educators and students age 18 and up. The Chicago Tribune called it "a humanities festival for jazz". In addition to world renowned special guest artists the camp includes sessions with Jose Diaz, Dr. Wesley Watkins, Tomeka Reid, Willie Pickens, Geof Bradfield, Bobbi Wilsyn and many more.

We guarantee you will discover new ways to think about jazz and find new friends to play with at Straight Ahead Jazz Camp presented by the Jazz Institute of Chicago and Columbia College Chicago.

One full week of inspiration costs only $285 (less than the cost of most one day workshops) and includes a full membership to the Jazz Institute. A one-day option is available too. Online registration closes July 12.
