| Honorary Doctorate for Manfred Eicher Manfred Eicher has received an honorary doctorate from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre "in recognition and appreciation of his outstanding creative cooperation with Estonian musicians." The award was presented at the opening of the Nargen Festival in Tallinn on June 6, where the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, with soloists Anja Lechner and Kadri Voorand and conductor Tõnu Kaljuste, played music of Tõnu Kõrvits.
