| Lost Jazz Shrines " Sweet Basil" at Tribeca Performing Arts Center LOST JAZZ SHRINES SWEET BASIL REMEMBERING LESTER BOWIE Saturday, June 4 - Concert at 8:30PM The presentation will be an evening remembering Lester Bowie. Musical Director Bob Stewart will lead a concert featuring Lester Bowie's music as a brass ensemble, in the spirit of his Brass Fantasy bands. Bob Stewart*, Marcus Rojas* & David Scheiman* (tuba), Stanton Davis*, Randall Haywood, Gerald Brazel, Steven Bernstein & Riley Mulherkar (trumpet), Luis Bonilla*, Earl McIntyre* & Nick Finzer (trombone), Vincent Chancey* (french horn), Buddy Williams (drums), Frank Lacy (trombone & vocals)*, Steve Turre (trombone / shells)* and Renee Manning (vocalist). *Brass Fantasy Alumni Additionally, there is a free bonus panel at 7PM - A discussion on the legacy of Sweet Basil and its vibrant activities with Bob Stewart and James Browne (previous owner).
