| Richard Sussman Quintet at Smalls - Thursday, April 21, 2016  Dear Friends - Please join me for a performance by my Quintet, next Thursday, April 21, featuring a mix of my originals, a few standards, and of course some tunes by the great master Hank Jones.Thanks to all of you who came out to support the concert premieres of "The Evolution Suite"! It was a great experience, AND I managed to get a pretty good sounding live recording out of it, hopefully soon to be released on CD. Thanks to all the great musicians who took part in this - Scott Wendholt, Rich Perry, Mike Richmond, Anthony Pinciotti, Zach Brock, Gregor Huebner, Fung Chern Hwei, Ron Lawrence, & Jeremy Harman. And a special thanks to Chamber Music America for making it all possible! After the challenges & intensity of the expanded Evolution Suite, I'm looking forward to relaxing & playing some tunes with the quintet at one of our favorite NYC hangs!
