Maciek Pysz "A Journey"

Release Date: October 16 2015

Often compared to Pat Metheny and Al Di Meola, London/Paris based guitarist Maciek Pysz will release his new album "A Journey". Recorded in December 2014 at the famous Artesuono studio in Italy, the album features the celebrated Daniele Di Bonaventura on piano and bandoneon along with bassist Yuri Goloubev and drummer Asaf Sirkis. In a recent review, UK based jazz journalist, Stephen Graham stated that Maciek is "...a major new presence on the jazz guitar scene". With the release of "A Journey" Maciek has once again proven this statement to be true.

Ella Fitzgerald "Live at Chautauqua - Vol 1"

Release Date: October 16 2015

Dot Time Records is pleased to announce the launch of its Legends series featuring previously unreleased historical recordings from many of the greatest legends of the jazz genre. All recordings are newly remastered with the goal of presenting these recordings in a modern format while striving to keep the original atmosphere of the recordings intact.

The inaugural release of the Dot Time Legends series is Ella Fitzgerald: Live at Chautauqua. Vol. 1. The date is July 11, 1968 and the venue is the Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater. All those in attendance that night experienced the reason why Fitzgerald will be forever known as the "First Lady of Song."

The set includes the 1934-35 hit "The Object Of My Affection" which has never seen the light of day on disc by Ella until the version heard on this recording. Fitzgerald delivered a program that continued her soulful, tender, gutsy and swinging style. The audience on this evening is also part of the experience. They revel in Ella's joy & sorrow throughout the whole set, one listen and you know they adore her.

This release comes with extensively researched Digital liner notes and essay by Scott Wenzel. A vinyl release is scheduled for the Spring of 2016.
