| The Django Festival All Stars & Friends Sun., Nov. 15th 7pm at The Paramount Hudson Valley This November at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater, The DJANGO FESTIVAL ALLSTARS will be headed by legendary French gypsy guitarist, DORADO SCHMITT along with virtuoso violinist Pierre Blanchard who "captures the true romantic fire of Grappelli", and Ludovic Beier on accordion and accordina, who "was breathtaking and beautiful" says Will Friedwald of the Wall Street Journal. On rhythm guitar is Francko Mehrstein, cousin of Dorado, and Xavier Nikq, on bass…all are from France where the Festivall started with the Hot Club Quintette. With special guests Sara Labriola and Cold Spring Caravan The Django Festival AllStars carry on the legacy of the brilliant gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt who was part of one of the most famous musical partnerships in European history with virtuoso jazz violinist Stephane Grappelli. "Imagine a stage filled with contemporary Django Reinhardt descendants and you'll get a sense that the collective talent pool on the bandstand is larger than the Arc de Triomphe!"
