Belton Fall Festival Sept. 11-12, 2015 Musical Lineup

The 12th Annual Belton Fall Festival is Friday, Sept. 11th & Saturday, Sept. 12th on Belton's Historic Main Street. This year's Festival features a variety of entertainment including 11 local and regional bands, groups and solo artists.

The festival opens at 4:00pm on Friday, Sept. 11th. Opening Ceremonies are set for 5:00pm with a flag presentation followed by comments by Mayor Jeff Davis. The Belton High School Choir, under the direction of Brian Stuck, will perform following the opening ceremony.

Belton's own Crystal Lee and the Junkyard Dogs will open in the Community tent starting at 6:00pm. This local southern rock band is making their first appearance at the Festival.

Razzmajazz and the Ferris Wheels is returning to the Festival on the Main Stage at 6:00pm. This area group is known for their high energy jazz and blues show.

Mudflap Mafia closes out Friday night's entertainment starting at 8:00pm. Mudflap Mafia was formed in the heart of Cass County in 2012. This popular trio plays a great mix of country rock.

Saturday morning, Sept. 12, the Festival kicks off at 9:00am with the annual Chris Cakes Pancake Breakfast. Tickets are $6 day of the event, $5 in advance. A festival favorite, After the Flood/Before the Fire is returning to the Main Stage performing old fashioned gospel music during breakfast.

Olathe, KS based Sorta Blue KC performs at 1:00pm. This five piece blues/rock band features three vocalists, blues harp players, guitarists, bass, and drums. They have played the Belton Fall Festival in the past to great reviews.

Folk-rock singer Ian McFeron with Alisa Milner performs at 3:30pm. This Seattle, Washington duo is including the Belton Festival on their nationwide tour. McFeron recently released his eighth studio album, "Radio." He will be joined on stage by Milner on fiddle, cello, and with harmony vocals.

Another favorite, Sky Smeed will be back this year, bringing his mix of country, folk and blues starting at 4:30pm. Hailing from Chanute, KS, Smeed is also in the middle of a U.S. tour. "Drive All Night, " his fifth and latest album was released in February.

In the Community Tent on Saturday evening, Kansas City, KS artist Steve Sterner & Sundown (Mark Nelson & Ron Brammer) will bring a relaxed mix of original folk songs and popular covers starting at 5:30pm.

They will be followed by Kansas City's Concord Road Band at 7:30pm. Concord Road will be performing pop and rock covers as well as their own acoustical numbers.

Wrapping up the Festival is CryBaby Ranch on the Main Stage at 7:30pm. This group is always high energy and that has made them a Festival favorite in years past. CryBaby Ranch just completed their latest album "Boom, Boom. Boom" featuring their own style of honkytonk, rockabilly and western swing.

All performances are free. Many other activities will also take place on Main Street throughout the weekend, including over 125 craft, vendor and food booths, children's activities, train rides, silent auction, beer garden and more.
