| The Patrice Williamson Group Brings Jazz To The Fenway Neighborhood Wednesday, July 15. The annual free concert presented by Berklee in partnership with the Fenway Civic Association and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department will take place at Ramler Park, located at 130 Peterborough Street. Williamson, an associate professor of voice at Berklee, will sing classic jazz standards including "Close Your Eyes, " "Lullaby of Birdland, " and "I Thought About You." Joining her will be a quartet of celebrated Boston musicians: Gilson Schachnik, piano; Keala Kaumeheiwa, bass; Steve Langone, drums; and John Wheatley, guitar. Williamson has performed across the globe, including as a special guest artist during Singapore's New Year's Eve Millennium Celebration, and has appeared on stage with Tony Bennett, James Moody, Cassandra Moody, and Danilo Pérez. Drawing comparisons to legends like Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan, Williamson was named "Best of Boston" by Boston Magazine and was nominated for Best Jazz Vocalist by the Boston Music Awards. Tucked away in the West Fenway neighborhood, Ramler Park is a beautiful spot for enjoying music, so this annual concert has become a popular event. Picnics and folding chairs are encouraged, and the event is wheelchair accessible.
