$55 Newport Jazz Festival Discount Tickets End July 12

There's still time to take advantage of the great local discount for Newport Jazz Festival tickets. Head to the Newport Visitors Information Center, 23 America's Cup Avenue, or the Newport Festivals Foundation office at 770 Aquidneck Avenue in Middletown by July 12 to take advantage of $55 General Admission tickets for concerts at Fort Adams State Park on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2. Beginning Monday, July 13, single-day tickets for Saturday and Sunday will be $74 in advance and then $84 on festival days. This special discount for local residents and visitors to Newport is not available on-line.

General Admission tickets to Friday at Fort Adams (July 31) are $40 and also available at the Visitors Information Center and Festival office.

In addition, students can purchase special $20 Student tickets at the Festival office and Visitors Information Center. High school students older than 15 and college students must use the Student Gate and present valid ID to enter the festival. Students without valid ID will be directed to the Box Office to pay the difference of a General Admission ticket.

All single and multiple-day tickets can be purchased at the Festival office and on-line at www.newportjazzfest.org and www.ticketmaster.com. Services charges apply for all on-line purchases.

The Newport Festivals Foundation's Newport Folk Festival, July 24-26, is sold out.

Hours for the Newport Festivals Foundation office are Tuesday – Friday, 12:00 – 6:00 pm, and Saturday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. The office is closed Sunday, Monday and July 4.

The 2015 edition of America's first annual jazz festival, which takes place July 31-August 2 at Fort Adams State Park and the International Tennis Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino, will feature Chris Botti, Cassandra Wilson, Jamie Cullum, Snarky Puppy, Maria Schneider, Arturo Sandoval, Dr. John, Jack DeJohnette: Made in Chicago, Kenny Garrett, Billy Childs, Arturo O'Farrill, Fred Hersch, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Jon Batiste, Kneebody, Hiromi, Michel Camilo, Jon Faddis, James Carter, Christian McBride, Bill Frisell, Mike Stern/Bill Evans Band, Ambrose Akinmusire, Tom Harrell, Pat Martino, Matana Roberts, John Hollenbeck, Ms. Lisa Fischer and Grand Baton and many others.

In addition to the Festival's presenting sponsor, Natixis Global Asset Management, support comes from Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, Alex and Ani, Rhode Island Foundation, Louis Jadot, North Coast Brewing Co., NPR Music, Ticketmaster and travel partner, WBGO Jazz 88.3 FM.
