| Joey Alexander Announces Only NYC Shows This Summer Joey Alexander has announced two nights at the Jazz Standard onJuly 28 and 29 (two sets each night). These are the young breakout star's only NYC shows this summer. Joey, just 11 years old, made his album debut last month. 'My Favorite Things' was met with a NY Times A1 feature and segments on The Today Show and NBC Nightly News. The album rocketed to #1 on the iTunes and Amazon jazz charts, debuted at #2 on Billboard's Jazz chart and reached #2 on Amazon's overall music chart. Joey will also perform at the Montreal and Newport Jazz Festivals this summer and will be a featured guest at The Town Hall in October with Wynton Marsalis.
