| Winners Announced For 2014 Made In New York Jazz Competition The winners of the second-annual 2014 have been announced. True to the competition's international claim, the winners of the 2014 competition came from four continents. Third place awarded to the Jan Prax Quartet from Germany, second awarded to Thana Alexa from the United States, and judges awarded the top prize to the Eden Rabin International Project - a collective of musicians from four countries that registered from Israel. Third place went to a German group, the Jan Prax Quartet. Now that the Jan Prax Quartet has been awarded third place in the Made In New York Jazz Competition, that dream is a reality, as the quartet will be invited to perform at the culminating gala event on June 27, 2015 at the Tribeca Performing Arts Complex. The competition was decided by a combination of voting done by jazz fans who registered with the Made In New York Jazz Competition, as well as by a set of committee members and judges.
