| Jane Ira Bloom Trio Singing The Triangle live at Cornelia Street Cafe Soprano saxophonist/composer and NASA artist Jane Ira Bloom returns to the Cornelia Street Café as part of the 2015 Composers Now Festival celebrating composers throughout the five boroughs of New York City in February. She performs Singing the Triangle with long-time bandmates bassist Mark Helias and drummer Bobby Previte in the setting that improviser/ composers love most: the trio - Just enough rhythmic/ melodic interaction to fire a tune and just enough space to carve your own direction. They'll be performing songs from their many recording projects together as well as new material that Bloom has composed for the group for 2015. The band also looks forward to a quartet concert date on Feb 21st at Yale University in New Haven, CT joined by pianist Dawn Clement. Don't miss these seasoned sonic explorers Singing The Triangle. "Bloom is a soulful, futuristic, romantic at heart." - Michael G. Nastos/ All Music Guide write your comments about the article :: © 2014 Jazz News :: home page |
