| New Release "Unsaid Songs" By Francesco Guaiana Quartet Unsaid Song is the new album of the guitarist and composer Francesco Guaiana that, after several experimental experiences and collaborations with artists of different aesthetic backgrounds, feels the need to give a clear cut container to some of his unpublished compositions, close to contemporary Jazz, written in different historical periods. The cd contains 9 original tracks, written between Italy and the United States, where the composer lived for several years, except for "Falling Grace", personal review of a song by the famous American composer and bassist Steve Swallow, one of the composers of reference for the author. After experimenting, for a long time in the past, performances in solo and trio, Guaiana rediscovers traditional Jazz Quartet set up by choosing the sound and the talent of the young trumpeter Alessandro Presti as an ideal creative counterpoint to the guitar's sound and the well-established and powerful rhythm section consisting of Luca Lo Bianco on bass and contrabass and Fabrizio Giambanco on drums. The album, released on October 20, 2014, will be published by Workin' Label and distributed by IRD International Records Distribution. After several artistic experiences in Italy, he moved to Boston in 1999 thanks to a scholarship and graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 2001, specializing in jazz guitar. He has performed in Italy, Austria, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, France, Spain, USA, Slovakia. Collaborations with the likes of Gary Burton, Bob Moses, Paul Jeffrey, Ferenc Nemeth, Andrea Parkins, Karl Berger. He has been a staff member of the Berklee College teachers working with Bob Stoloff, Kevin Mahogany and Bill Pierce. After the intense experience in the United States, he returned to Italy, where he is a full-time teacher and performer. He has participated as a composer and performer at several "Artist in residence program" including 'Cesta' in the Czech Republic, "Récollet 'in France and 'Music Omi' in New York and has recorded more than 15 CDs as a soloist and as a sideman. He currently teaches at the Conservatory of Music in Palermo and Campobasso. ALESSANDRO PRESTI born in Messina in 1988, began studying trumpet at the age of five. After graduating with honors at the Conservatory of Messina he approaches jazz specializing at 'Siena Jazz Music School' under the guidance of Marco Tamburini. He won several prizes such as the 'Victoria Jazz Award 'in 2010, the "Chicco Bettinardi competition" in 2011, 2012 and in 2014 the Critics Prize, the Audience Award and second Prize at the International Competition for jazz soloists 'Massimo Urbani'. Since 2010 he collaborates with the school of music "Palermo Jazz". Despite being in his early twenties he has already joined musicians of excellence such as Bill Mays, Nasheet Waits, Eddie Gomez, Roberto Gatto, P.dalla Porta, Fabio Zeppetella, Ellade Bandini, Orazio Maugeri, Dino Rubino, Dario Carnovale, Alessandro Lanzoni. LUCA LO BIANCO double bass and electric bassist, he is one of the most in demand musician of the Italian Jazz scene. He has performed with major artists such as Bill Russo, Gunther Schuller, Mauro Pagani, Elliot Sharp, Gregory Nemeth, Jimmy Weinstein, Salvatore Bonafede, Fabrizio Bosso, Ettore Fioravanti, Dusko Gojkovich, Javier Girotto and he has been performing in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Norway, France, Malaysia, China, Japan, USA. He is also the creator of original music projects such as "Ear Catcher" and "The Disappearance of Majorana", a music - theater piece based on the text of L. Sciascia and represented at 'Werkstatt der Culturen' in Berlin. He is founder and conductor of 'Orchestra Instabile Disaccordo' a sicilian based ensemble with whom he experimented the method of 'conduction' and participated at the prestigious Festival 'Jazztage' in Hamburg. In addition to being a co-director of the young independent record label 'Fitzcarraldo Records' is also a Jazz bass teacher at the Conservatorio Bellini in Palermo. FABRIZIO GIAMBANCO born in Palermo, Italy, is one of the most exciting emerging talents of the sicilian jazz scene. Winner of a scholarship to the NY University at Veneto Jazz Festival 2003, he has performed with Charles Tolliver, Enzo Randisi, Stefano Di Battista, Rosario Giuliani, Gianni Gebbia, Andrea Benevento, Bob Mintzer, Francesco Bearzatti, Gianni Basso, Orazio Maugeri, Salvatore Bonafede, Sandro Gibellini, Jay Clayton, Enrico Intra, Fabrizio Bosso, Flavio Boltro, Eddy Palermo, Dusko Goycovich. He has recorded for Fitzcarraldo Records the cd of bassist Luca Lo Bianco "Ear catcher" and Flora Faja's "Italian Songs" for Splash Records. He is currently on a European tour with the Italian singer-songwriter Pippo Pollina performing in festivals and clubs, mainly in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France. He has been teacher at Brass Group Music School in Palermo and 'Music Academy' in Piazza Armerina.
