(President Bill Clinton) World famous saxophone player, bandleader and producer Igor Butman enjoys one of the most successful and flamboyant careers in the history of modern jazz. An Olympic Ambassador and a leading advocate of Russian art in the world, Butman leads the Moscow Jazz Orchestra on a tour of the United State's taking his "Atomic-era Basie Band on steroids" (Downbeat) to remote areas in the Mid-West and finishing up his tour with a 2-night engagement at the famed New York City nightclub, 54 Below and Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn. Fluent in Russian, Spanish, English and French, Fantine is a unique talent with a musical style that reflects her cultural diversity, and is described as a fusion of Indie and Electro Soul. She has opened for Erykah Badu and toured extensively with the Moscow Jazz Orchestra since 2012. The Moscow Jazz Orchestra's newest CD, entitled "Special Opinion" features Randy Brecker, Bill Evans, Tom Kennedy, Mitch Stein, Mike Stern, and Dave Weckl. All compositions on this CD were written by pianist/arranger Nick Levinovsky.
